I agree that Bush may not be the pervayer of tyranny - BUT he most definately sees to it that it continues and grows. It's all big money for him and his cronies for this to continue.

And the government has gotten bigger and wider due to his legislation that has encroached upon our very liberties at the expense of freedom. His welding of the pen with signing statements, the most any president has ever done, is nothing short of snubbing his nose and giving the finger to the rule of law. Neocons would have him as their king. And we all know how crazy the first King George was - and this one tops it!

Well...I think if you can look back at the evolution (reverse) of our liberties in this country...you would see that this has all been happening over a much broader spectrum of history...Bush is not the originator of tyranny...just someone who is pushing the buttons necessary to keep the ball rolling in what most of us who believe in liberty also believe to be a dangerous direction...

Bigger and all-pervasive government began to control us at the beginning of the 20th century...not the 21st.

I support our president. I do not worship him. I worship God Almighty, the true living God. George W. Bush takes so much heat not because of what he has done, but because of what he stands for and for the past mistakes of others in charge. I am not blindly following Bush. He is our president, I support him. Is surveying 1500 to 2000 people really representative of the entire US population (which is nearing 300 million people? Where are the surveys generally conducted? In the heart of the city, that's where. Cities in the US hold the largest concentration of liberals than in any other part of the US. No wonder the numbers are skewed. They are not truly representative.

For example, we can argue all day about how Mr. Bush "stole" the election against Gore. The media portrays liberal views. Their target audience is the liberal left wing. Is this because they are so open to anything and everything that they will believe anything they hear and read?

When Mr. Bush won the election fair and square (both times), liberals called foul. They wanted recount upon recount, each time hoping for a different result. Florida was the main focus of the "problem" with the voting system. Should we blame the system, or the people? Why is it that the only poeple that had trouble with the voting were the minorities and elderly? Perhaps it is because they do not speak or read English, or perhaps they are not intelligent enough to make an informed decision. What about the other 50 states? I am sure that in each of the states there were issues with their voters as well. No other state wanted a recount though, only the state where they could turn it into a race issue. I am sure if that they recounted every vote in the election throughout the US, Bush still would have won. Giving people a second chance to vote because the outcome was not favorable to their cause is wrong. Attempting to make a determination on intent of the voter is wrong. Bush won fair and square. End of discussion.

Illegal wiretaps. Now that's a good one. I am in total agreement with wiretaps. Wiretapping without the knowledge of the party being wiretapper should be completely legal. If we inform them, they will change their ways. If you have nothing to hide, why worry about it??? Are you hiding something? Hmmm???

When 9-11 happened, what a tragedy. Mr. Bush handled it appropriately. No other president has had to make tough decisions like this. It was not his fault, nor the governments. It was the terrorists. Why blame Bush for 9-11?

The economy. You did not mention the economy, but I will. Economies are cyclic. Every 10-12 years, there is a recession. Fact. The economy took a dive after 9-11, not because of Mr. Bush and his economic policy, but because it was set-up to do that. Remember, the economy started to slide during the third year of Bill Clinton's presidency. 9-11 helped the slope increase. We are still recovering from the effects. How can we blame the president for the economy? We can't!

In America, the media shows only what they want in order to advance political agendas. For instance, the job market. Thousands of jobs were lost recently in the auto industry. Although unfortunate, that is the way it is. It is not due solely to slow sales, but mainly because of UNIONS and what they do to damage business. Unions were good in the early days, when employees did not have any rights. Now the employees have more rights than the employer. Unions demands are outrageous, no wonder the costs for union made products are so high! Unions are crooked, and serve political and economical agendas. they do not care about the people, only money. As far as job creation goes, do we ever hear about the thousands of jobs created each month here in the US? Why not?

Abortion. How awful. No human being has the right to take an unborn child's life. Where is the childs say in all of this? If people would learn to be responsible, abortion would not even be a consideration. At least these precious babies will be in Heaven. Those who support abortion and those who perform abortions are guilty of murder. For shame!

I will end on the natural disaster Katrina. Why is it Bush's fault? Did Bush cause the natural disaster? No. Was the response appropriate? Considering the cuircumstances, yes. In order to mobilize relief efforts, ther is so much beaurocratic tape to cut through. To mobilize the NG to respond, it is at least 3-4 days, depending upon the size of the deployment. The liberals thiunk that you can just run in and save evrybody all at once. There are so many things to coordinate Safety is a big issue, evacuation plan, etc. The government did the best they could. It was a monumental disaster. We will see more of these disasters as the end times approach. It is not due to global warming, but because it is Biblically predicted.

You can say what you want about the president, but the truth is he mosty likely will be our last great president. At least he is fighting for those who do not have a voice. He stands up for what is right. He does not change his views becasue it is popular. He does not waver. He is a true leader.
